Here’s what the last week looked like for me
It’s 5:59 pm and I’m overdue on this email.
I’ve made several failed attempts but my brain is fried from all the plates I’m spinning right now.
Here’s what I’ve been up to since my last email:
>> Woke up before 5:45am every day (naturally!) to make notes about all the business ideas I got while sleeping
>> Set up a complex automation in ConvertKit (affiliate link) ALL BY MYSELF and became Sandra Booker’s most annoying client in history by asking her 147 questions
>> Created a newsletter referral program in SparkLoop (affiliate link) and integrated it into my newsletter template
>> Survived March break with two kids under 10, even baked a cake from scratch for my baby Mo who turned 6
>> Made my mandatory recurring contribution to the Blond Women’s Fund and had my roots retouched
>> Wrapped a 3-month consulting gig for Homebuyer.com—later I’ll tell you how to get those emails (and the lowest mortgage rate available)
>> Created a 1:1 offer called The Newsletter Intensive because I am so bloody excited about email, more than I’ve been in my entire career (by “create” I mean: wrote up a Google doc, set up an intake form, blocked my calendar and set up Acuity for booking, scheduling and delivery)
>> Read a whole book in under 48 hours and savoured every word
>> Cracked my all-time best joke in an Email Stars teaching call (I am SO PROUD of the way I show up as a teacher and facilitator)
>> Edited my sales page for The Email Membership in Showit and planned an ultralight promo (there are only 4 spots so I’m just going to link it in a couple of emails and see what happens)
>> Spent 4 hours with my coach Sophia Apostol, planning the retreat in Malta for my mastermind Power
>> Reviewed 333 replies to the 4-question survey I sent last week—officially it’s only for people who didn’t take Email Stars but I want to hear from everyone (and there’s a at the end)
That’s just what my tired brain can think of.
Reading over that list makes me think I need to slow down a bit. I’m pretty tired.
It’s exciting to be riding a powerful current of creativity. There are days when it feels like I’m on drugs, hyper-stimulated and also extremely clear-headed.
But working this hard is also a stress response, my brain’s way of hedging against the horrors of the last few years.
It also puts stress on my team, who have to either match my pace or have the courage to say, “What the hell, Tarzan? I can’t spontaneously run an ultramarathon alongside you,” as Sandra very lovingly said to me last week (I’m paraphrasing).
I have a qualified therapist who I’m already working with on this. No need to worry.
Plus, I’m doing great. My creativity is intimately connected with my personal happiness, so this volume of creative output is mostly a good sign.
Just don’t hold yourself to it, k?
Every entrepreneur knows there are weeks when you run like a Tesla and others when you run like Archie’s jalopy.
Everyone has both.
That’s all for today.
Signing off at 6:51pm.

Happening On + Off The Internet
Evan from Newsletter Alchemy told me, “I used to send story-based emails and my open rate hovered around 30%. But I’m earning $500-$1000/month from Medium since switching to this format. (referral swap)
The Equity-Centered Coaching Summit announced their speaker lineup, including a familiar name from the cult recovery world who I’ve been wanting to meet (not an affiliate link, got my ticket ages ago and I’ve been working with host Trudi Lebron on her sales emails [another thing I did this week!)
Copywriter Brandy Wells was kind enough to share her Copy VIP Day sales page (for inspo!) and I thought my subscribers might want to know about this offer
Thank you to the 377 generous humans who filled out my survey
Especially the 333 who completed it
That has to be some kind of record. I hoped for a few dozen replies.
Either bribes work or people just love quizzes.
Whatever it was, thank you so much. It means a lot that you trust me enough to tell me what offers you’d consider buying.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I feel really lucky.
