Three Days In The Life of a Very Famous + Important Internet Person
I say this a lot, but for real this time, this’ll be a short one.
A whole workday slipped through my fingers thanks to one epically bad night's sleep, so now I’m scrambling to get everything done before I leave for New York tomorrow to do Important New York Things.
Some days I wonder if this is what it’s like to run a business with a chronic illness — but let’s save my sleep drama for another day.
Here’s what the next three days look like for me:
Thursday:
→ drop kids at school and drive straight to the airport
→ buy a book because that’s my airport rule
→ finish this email at the gate while I wait to board (FINISHED!*)
→ attend a hot seat mastermind with Nathan Barry (I got invited because I’m famous + important in case you didn’t know)**
→ eat something?!?! (but probably not)
→ scoot over to Brooklyn where my friend Gloria Chou is hosting drinks for other famous + important people we mutually know
Friday:
→ bike across the bridge because it’s New York and that’s another rule
→ spend the day at The Newsletter Conference
→ talk my way into Kit’s company dinner? (we have an ongoing love affair and we don’t talk about that time I left them for Active Campaign)
→ have second dinner with my dear friend Clelia who I only talk to once a year and it’s like no seconds have gone by
Saturday:
→ early coffee date with one of my masterminders — a true soul-friend who happens to be on the same divorce timeline as me #iykyk
→ fly home to fetch the kids at Grandma’s
I know.
Tarzan is so busy and important.
And famous.
So famous I barely have time to write a newsletter, which is the whole reason I’m famous. Well, that and my hair. Ever since I dyed my eyebrows I’m feeling more and more like SOMEONE PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW.
Next week I’ll write something about business, I promise. (Sorry! Some people like those emails, so it’s only fair!)
But you always say you like emails like this, and I’m convinced one of the best things about this newsletter is that it’s a window into the life of someone who is making a living online. The picture you see on social media is so curated and unrealistic, I feel compelled to wave my Flag of Normalness over here.
On that note, over and out.
See you next week

Sandra recommended that I speak at the Autonomous Creative Conference and when I saw the speaker lineup I was like, “Yes, I want my name next to all those smart people!” Check it out here → (affiliate link)
My friend Gloria is hosting this incredible 2-day event in New York if you want to come be important and famous here too.
Send me a compliment about my eyebrows if you want.
