Good question! We don’t have an official limit on this program yet. We want to see how much interest there is, and who signs up. We usually count on about ⅔ of students showing up to calls (which we have a lot of), a percentage that decreases as the course goes on. Even 30 students would be quite cozy on the live calls, and not feel crowded. But that’s about as large as I could see this program getting.
What’s important for you to know is that the cohort is small enough that you’ll be able to show your work, get your questions answered and get feedback on how to improve it.
Absolutely. But you’ll need to figure that out early on (and we’ll talk about it) in order to move forward. If you’re a beginner, you may find, say 6 months from now, that your niche changes or you find something better. That’s normal. You can apply all the strategies you learn as you refine your niche and your offers.
Most list-building courses focus on opt-in freebies, which are just one strategy, and also require an existing audience on social media in order to work. We’ll cover freebies too, but most strategies we teach are meant to work in an ad-supported list-growth strategy that you can get paid back on within 30 days.
There is most likely some overlap, so if you’ve taken that it will give you a leg up as you work through +1KSUBS. When it comes to list growth, you have two options: organic growth (i.e. social) or paid growth. I choose paid because I don’t personally enjoy being on social media. If you don’t ever want to run ads, this program probably isn’t for you.
But if you just don’t want to run ads on Meta (Facebook + Instagram Ads), there are plenty of other options, which I teach in this course. You’ll need a budget of at least $50/month to use ads as a strategy, but as you put systems in place to get that ad spend back, you should be able to increase it quickly.
This isn’t a class about newsletter content. If you aren’t sure what you want your newsletter to be, it’s probably too early for this program. But if you have a solid idea, and you just need some help refining it, you’re welcome in this program.
We have two hours of in class time per week, and you’ll probably need another hour to make meaningful progress each week, and stay on top of what you’re learning.
